We are thrilled to finally bring you this long-awaited 100-hour training! We each have over a decade of teaching experience and have collaborated to create an engaging program that explores a diverse array of subjects, lineages, and approaches in a cohesive and interactive format. This is our dream continuing education program!

This training is 100% online, and your participation will count for 75 hours of bankable Katonah yoga credit.

This training is open to teachers and students of all levels—everyone is welcome!

Topics to be Covered:

  • The seasonal dialogue, including personality archetypes, practical tips for conscious embodiment, and achieving harmony within each season, as well as the seasonal movement from yang to yin.

  • Creating your own signature 60-minute flow using Kyle’s sequencing framework.

  • Imagery for orientation: utilizing your imagination to enhance your posture.

  • Katonah Yoga breathwork through the glandular system.

  • Sequencing "advanced" asanas for all levels.

  • Meditation practices: locating the body in space, developing subtle body awareness, establishing a consistent home practice, and teaching the practice.

  • Reclined breathwork over a pranayama bolster.

  • Understanding the endocrine system, the functionality of organs and glands (including the lymphatic system), and how these systems are affected during physical activity and breathwork.

  • Advanced gross physical anatomy and exploring planes of movement.

  • Adapting practices for aging bodies and addressing injury prevention.

  • Cardiac and pulmonary considerations when teaching.

  • Teaching private sessions based on functional movement.

  • Teaching Pedagogy: embracing the teacher's responsibilities, upholding the integrity of the role, and cultivating ease and joy through personal responsibility (with technical/practical lectures and reflection time for students). As a group we’ll investigate the teacher's inner dialogue as it relates to the language we speak, our sequences and and our internal narratives.

  • Body Reading: using Katonah Yoga's "Body as a House" concept to identify patterns, cross-reference observations, and apply theory and archetypes to focus on potential rather than damage.

  • Advanced Katonah Practice: using the framework to find fluency, moving with the breath for a well-rounded experience.

  • Pranayama: exploring the body as a vehicle metaphor.

  • AND SO MUCH MORE AS IT ALL UNFOLDS IN REAL TIME!!
