Teacher Spotlight: Narayani

How amazing is this woman?

Narayani means Divine Mother in sanskrit and the name was bestowed upon her by Sharon Gannon in 2003.  Narayani is truly the sweetest teacher I have ever taken class from.  It is an absolute pleasure to spend time with her and be in her class and I’m grateful to have her as one of my teachers.  She fills her class with loving energy and takes care of her students while challenging us and deepening our practice.  She reminds us that even though yoga is an amazing workout and feels incredible to do, it is rooted in spiritual development.  She begins her classes at Jivamukti with beautiful chanting and singing and her discussion before the asana practice begins is always uplifting, insightful, and loving.
